Would that be the Chiltern Hills in the background?

Re: Sleeping with windows open?

Even if I wanted an open bedroom window I couldn't have it because I've slept with my bedroom door open almost all my life as the cats have to be able to come and go. As I said, I'd be heating up all outdoors!

Re: Sleeping with windows open?

We sleep with the window closed. The house we've recently moved into desperately needs new double glazing, and there are no little windows to open (if you get me).

I open them the minute we get up for the fresh air. We also don't have the radiator on in our bedroom - it's a warm room anyway.

Re: Sleeping with windows open?

We always sleep with the windows open and never have the heating on in our bedroom. No need really because my husband is my radiator

Re: Sleeping with windows open?

I agree DM. Window open in the summer when it's warm but, when there's cold air outside, let's keep it outside!
Energy is expensive enough - I can't see any point in paying fuel bills to let the heat out of the window, even if you are snuggled warm under a duvet - better to put a fan on if you want to feel 'freshness' over your face

Different stroked for different folks though ...

Re: Sleeping with windows open?

I'm a warm bedroom fan, like to watch the news in bed and could sleep through a hurricane, but my wife likes the room to be a fridge, likes to read in bed and is the lightest of sleepers. Answer...separate bedrooms, absolute bliss.....
