Re: If you had a time machine

What a wonderful topic. I'd definitely go back to the late 50s when I was little. Every summer was glorious, starting school, Teddy boys, and just a very lovely gentle time.

I used to sit and make tar balls from the bubbling tar from between the cobbles of a quiet road which is now a busy throughway.

Yep, I'd definitely go back to the 50s.

Re: If you had a time machine

I would travel back to when I was sixteen, that was the happiest time for me, I was halfway through my apprenticeship, in a steady job with great prospects and good wages based on performance. The World was my oyster, great music to jive to and lovely girls to jive with, no having to make big decisions like adults, carefree days and juvenile romance at the cinema or at a dance in the night, buying all the latest gear, discovering something new everyday. If only it could have stayed like that forever.

I would travel back to the '70s when my twins were born .........I would like to re-live their childhood years again as those precious years passed all too quickly.

As I think we have lived through the best era I would go back to when I met 'she who must be obey' and elope/ That way we would have had three more years living together.

I would go back to the 70s and train to be a vet rather than start working when I did. It didn't seem to be an option at the time.

Re: If you had a time machine

Hi Everyone I have chosen an unusual one for my first post but here goes. If I had a time machine I would go back to the crucifixion, I would love to stand in the crowd and see if it was all true. Now that strikes even me as odd!

There's nothing odd about witnessing an important event like that Brian, as we all know the older an historic event the more likely it is to be changed to suit those in power, therefore making it harder to get at the real truth, especially something religious or political.
