Looking west over the large lake.
I knew the older pair of grebes had nested again after 3 failures. But i was surprised to see the eggs were hatching.
Plenty wildflowers out.
Only mammal seen was single Woodmouse but plenty of insects around.
Noticed this male Mute swan risking his life to get across the road to his family on the small lake.
The pair of grebes on the small lake have manged to get two youngsters raised.
Each has taken one chick, and woe betide if the other tries to beg food from the other parent, they get chased away.
These are possibly Damselfly eggs.
Flattened the camera battery, then cloud cover chased me homeward.
