My granny was a country woman and she used to say that pigs can see the wind, never quite knew what she meant by that, I mean how can anyone know what a pig can see?

The granny had a valid point,Jem.

In Shetland,when I were butter lad,you never saw pigs facing into an approaching storm. It was taken as a sign of wet,windy weather being imminent-and was inevitably correct.
