Ex-pat Pensioners

Thinking or retiring abroad??? - you may need to re-think that decision, since the Government have determined that payment of pensioners abroad will be illegal after Brexit.

Hi

The reality of the situation.

We have no double taxation as being part of the EU.

If we leave with no deal, we become a Third World Country.

Your Pensions will be taxed here in the UK and can then be taxed in the EU, at local rates.

This will be a disaster for many.

According to the EU yes.

We will not be in the EU or EEA so all tax agreements will have to be renegotiated.

Good point.

Don't think there will be any difference to OAPs if they live in AUZ or Spain.

Neither should get the Winter fuel allowance.

Their pensions will not be effected.
