United Europe

May and her scumbag 'nasty party' were hoping to divide some of the european countries and to ally themselves with the scumbags. Things have not turned out that way and europe is united in total opposition to May's plans for a european brexit deal.

Good, now perhaps she'll see the EU for what it is and do a no deal.

Re: United Europe

They must think we've got such a colossal cheek and sense of entitlement.

Wanting to leave the club but keep the benefits of membership, cake and eat it, then trying to split the members who are staying to take sides with us.

No deal is going to hurt both sides but just like Brexiters are prepared to take a financial hit for the principle of leaving, the EU countries might be prepared to take a financial hit for the principle of telling you to get on your bike with nothing.

No deal would suit me. It will cause such misery, chaos and poverty that the majority will be demanding a vote to rejoin and cursing the Brexiters. Quickest way back in.

There's no good deal possible and the pain of trying to make a rubbish one work for a while isn't worth the effort.

Re: United Europe

Hi

I simply do not understand the logic of anyone wanting a No Deal.

It makes absolutely no sense at all.

It would leave us as the only major economy in the world without a single trade deal, nobody else has ever done this, simply because it is stupid.

The rest of the world does not trade solely under WTO Rules, it trades under WTO Rules with Free Trade Agreements.

A No Deal would put us at a great disadvantage, all our exports would be subject to Tariffs.

It would hand a huge advantage to the EU, who have Trade Deals with some of the biggest economies in the world.

We would have to negotiate these deals ourselves and this takes years.

We simply do not have the capacity to negotiate numerous Trade Deals simultaneously.

We have been offered a Canada style deal with the EU.

We should take it and move on.

If Varadkar insists that Ireland will veto it, we should make it perfectly clear to him that we will end the Common Travel Area, which will destroy his economy and partition Ireland.

He would not survive politically if this happened.

Just my views, I will no doubt get shot down again, I am well used to it.

Two can play hardball.

Well it won't , will it Nom ? They're all jumping on the back of the 'famine ' in the land. Talking about stock piling food because we won't be able to get any courgettes in November . .... We have plenty of land , probably some of the best agricultural land in Europe and massive greenhouses to grow food.
Those who create these fear projects just can't stand the thought they may be wrong..
EU will twist and turn for as long as they can and they know they hold the trump card atm, that being the Irish border. If we leave 'No Deal' I think Ireland might have to be their own problem to sort then.
Let's get the hell out of there. Nasty bastards., particularly that Guy Verhofstadt.

Re: United Europe

The financial loss of our contribution into the EU is going to hit them really hard. Maybe those countries that have been " on the take" will have to start paying in instead. Those are the ones that will be the next to leave

Hi

The UK share of the Eu Contributions is 13.45%, so yes, it is going to hurt them.

A number of EU Countries have said they will not be prepared to pay more in and want the Budget cut.

That however is an argument for them, not for us.

Not a single EU Country is proposing to leave, even those most critical of it.

Denmark, Austria and the Visigrad Group, those most critical of the EU, are simply refusing to take the dictates from Brussels.

They know they will not be thrown out.

We were not able to feed ourselves in 1940 what makes you think we can now?
