Cornwall had a special feel about it, and I always felt I belonged there.

I know this will sound rather weird and creepy, but if I had to have a career after I was married, which I didn't, I would have thought about becoming an undertaker, if women did that job in those days. I think I could have coped well with it. My father forced me to start training as a nurse, which I didn't enjoy, and gave it up before I married at 19. However, I had no problem laying out dead bodies.
Then I wanted to be an archaeologist.
Always wanted to get an HGV licence, but never did.
Always wanted to do free falling, but never did. (I'd have loved to float about up there with others and do group 'stunts'
).
