Peter Green

Peter Green died today.

I am a huge admirer of his works, tho I don't get sad or say rip when people die.

Guitarist, singer songwriter extraordinaire. His band: "Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac" lasted 3 years '67- '70 and were the greatest.

Here's one of his many fine compositions, this one popularised by Santana a few years later.

Re: Peter Green

This is sad news.

He was superb guitar-player, robbed of a longer career than he had by his use of drugs.

Re: Peter Green

My wife mentioned it with a sad face, she were a big fan too.. and his passing brought back a few memories of some good times for her

Black Magic Woman is one of those special songs, that people will enjoy listening to in another fifty years time.

Re: Peter Green

That is sad as he can’t have been that old.
I went to see Fleetwood Mac at The Belfry in 1969. It was just after Albatross was released and they played it. Beautiful...

Rest In Peace.... Peter Green.

Apparently Artangel he was 73, as you write not that old, in fact younger than myself.

Gosh, Baz, That is no age at all. I suppose his drug taking didn’t help.

Someone told me, Peter Green couldn’t accept being a celebrity and living the life. He said, he shied away from the limelight, lived in a council flat with his dad and gave his money away.
