Re: Tornado

I have seen small tornadoes they are very strange.
I saw one once by the village hall just above the house we had than so I went to look , it was autumn and the leaves had all been arranged in a perfect spiral circle .

Re: Tornado

The UK has more tornadoes than the USA; they're just nowhere near as big!

Re: Tornado

Mups, that is incredible! Very relieved you are alright. Sorry about the damage though.

My family lives in the US tornado alley, where massive and deadly tornadoes are a way of life. Most homes there have basements because it's expected that you will experience one sooner or later. This one was not far from my parents' home and caused $200 million in damage in 1991

Re: Tornado

It must be very scary to witness one of those big ones coming towards you. Glad no one was hurt last night.

Re: Tornado

I'd be terrified if I saw one of those coming my way.
I could never live in the States .

Hi Surfermom, good to see you again.

Blimey, that one you sent is h-u-g-e! How terrifying.
Makes my little one look more like a puff of smoke.

Haha, we do seem to have our share of natural disasters. I have had my house damaged by an earthquake, very damaged by a hurricane, a roof destroyed by hail, and had to live with the "vog" from an erupting volcano.

It's not the US you want to avoid - it's me .

Hiya, Mups! Glad to be back and to see you too!

We don't tend to mess around when the tornado sirens go off, that's for sure .

Re: Tornado

Hi

Tornadoes are like women.

When they first arrive they are warm, wet and all over you.

When they leave they take the house and the car with them.
