A narrow escape

Found this story about how someone stole a narrow boat but was shortly caught by the police. Lord only knows how the crook thought he was going to get away with it.

That's a first - a high-speed chase (4MPH) down the canal network. Lucky for the owner, the narrow boat community gave their assistance in getting it back or, as the perp was in the process of painting over the boat's name, it could have been lost forever.
