Re: Signs of Spring

We didn't have any Siskins here last Winter or this year, until today, when this one turned up on the feeders.

Re: Signs of Spring

The birds all seem to think it's Spring today, in the middle of the afternoon too.
We have a Song Thrush singing in one of the Oak trees, a Chaffinch in another, several twittering from little birds, Goldfinches I think & the Dunnock is in the bush.

A Peacock butterfly sunning itself on a wall on Saturday
Plenty of participants in the dawn chorus, on a daily basis now
People smiling - does that count?

Re: Signs of Spring

I've not seen any butterflies yet, but plenty of bees and wasps, moths and gnats and little taddies starting to wriggle in the splodge and newts too.
