New telephones in our house

Yes we have been and purchased replacement cordless telephone handsets. Nothing wrong with the old ones except the new ones come with extras

So the new ones have a built in answerphone but more important a call blocking facility of up to 20 calls. Within the first 48 hours of having them we have already blocked one nuisance call that tried to ring twice asking for someone that doesn't live here. Several calls in the last 2 years have asked for this person and we were getting fed up telling them they had the wrong number.

Tracing the last one it seem they have been ringing several people who have posted about this caller and what the caller was doing.

So that is one that will only get a line disconnected tone now and hopefully stop calling us.

What a great bit of kit, just got to program in out list of contacts and we are done.

We bought similar a while ago it's brilliant no more unwanted calls. Good luck with your purchase hope you have many quiet evenings with no nuisance calls.

realspeed, Are your new phones Panasonic? Tell you what, give me your phone number to ring and then see if they really work at blocking!!

I have a £10 house house phone from Argos, I don't encourage people to telephone and it does the job .
My motto is do you really need something, if not I don't buy it.

I love my phone! It tells me who's calling (by voice) so I can decide whether to put my chair back from the reclining position, get to my feet and go to where the phone is.

Better facility than call blocking (though I love that too)
