Lovely picture Graham, of beautiful birds. They always look so graceful. No wonder a ballet was made about them!

oh they do right now in my local park Patsy because the cygnets are almost fully grown and the male is after his mother!
Needless to say both the adults chase him away at full speed with their feathers up, fascinating to watch!

I bet it is - I live a sheltered life gal, have to rely on docus for me info - and funny this, but not much info on Swans !

funny how they rear them and then the young move on without their parents but that's the way it has to be. I love feeding them, they come right up to me and take the food out of my hand, lovely!

That is so lovely Honey - just to spend some time with them would be Heaven to me - nice for you to have such a place close by too ......

A river runs through our town and we have our own stock of swans. I remember a few years ago seeing one of them flying up and landing in the middle of the road! I was panic stricken! Thankfully the motorists were very careful and let it go on it's merry way to fly into the water again
