Re: A Stitch Up.

I hope so too! Suppose they get 50% of the votes. That means 37 seats in euro parliament. Since these brexit party mep's don't want to be there, they will be largely absent (like farage cum suis last 5 years). Result is that the UK in the EU parliament in the coming 5 years will be represented by 36 mep's against 715 from the rest. Boy oh boy!

Re: A Stitch Up.

Hi

May is running down the clock again.

She is delusional, her so called deal is not a deal at all, it is so deeply flawed.

It certainly does not deliver on Brexit, it leaves the EU in total charge, they can simply use the backstop to say no to anything.

I take a different view to many, the EU have not been bullies, they have simply looked after their own interests and could not believe their luck at our totally incompetent negotiating strategy.

We went chasing Unicorns, something which simply was not going to happen.

Reality needs to kick in.

When we leave, we trade on WTO Rules with, hopefully, WTO Free Trade Deals.

May is completely wrong, it is not her deal or no deal.

On the table is an offer from the EU for a Free Trade Deal, the same as Canada, Japan and South Korea have signed.

This is how the world operates.

Canada+++ is not going to happen, it never was.

Take the WTO Free Trade Agreement and get out.

We cannot do this whilst May is still in charge.

Why would that please you so much Solasch? Why would you want to see us fail?

I agree Swims...leaving on WTO terms seems the best alternative...

Yes, it's healthier that everyone who posts on a forum is singing from the same hymn-sheet, otherwise you'd have a robust and open clash of ideas.

Don't want that.

I remember her trying to warn us that it is "her deal or no Brexit", the arrogant woman.

The sooner she is gone, the better.

Surely that's self-evident. He'd like to see his little country retaining some sort of hold over the UK.

I wonder how his older countrymen feel about the matter, they surely being there when our soldiers pushed the Germans back and gave the Dutch their freedom.

Funny how he doesn't like the idea of our gaining our freedom.

I was referring to the backslide by the brexit party. I do not want to see you fail, I want to see you leave, if that should be your choice.
Events in the last year make it increasingly clear the majority of brits don't want that (no longer) because it is clear you have been lied to and been misled.
As to the numbers, I want to see mep's from the brexit party do their jobs, what they are paid for, and actively take part in decision making.
