Trust me, Rio is a HORRIBLE place. It looks great in some pictures but don't go by looks. It's a place where one needs to wash one's hands BEFORE going to the lavatory and the only place in all the places that I've been, and I've been to a good few, where I saw mobile brothels. Modified busses especially on Avenida Atlântica (sea front Copacabana).

It’s nice to see that most people are basically honest .I can’t imagine what it must be like not to have a conscience but so many don’t . I was out walking with a friend yesterday she was telling me that at one time she was burgled and they took among other things jewellery that wasn’t valuable but had belonged to her mother and grandmother .
You can imagine people just dumping this stuff in the rubbish something that meant something to someone.
