Re: Pain Away Pen
I've got a Pain Gone pen, Queenie.
One of my yoga teachers told me about them a year or two back, so I sent off for one for when my back plays up.
They are powered by quartz crystals.
I won't say it is a miracle cure, because it's not - well not for me anyway, although of course it is difficult to use on one's own back!
You have to be careful though. There are certain parts of your body you must not use it e.g.
In or around your eyes.
On the Carotid artery.
On the front or side of your neck.
Over the heart or directly over metal implants.
On open wounds.
Or on wet skin.
Also, some people should not use one either:
People with a pacemaker.
Or if you suffer from epilepsy.
Or during pregnancy.
Thge instructions also say "not suitable for children" but I don't think that is clear enough because I don't know if they mean don't use on a child, or children mustn't use it!
Other than these restrictions, you put the pen on the point of pain or an acupuncture point and click the button 30-40 times. This takes only about one minute or so, so you click quite fast.
The instruction leaflet says lifespan of the pen is approvimately 100,000 clicks.
I haven't used mine for quite a long time now, but perhaps will give it another try if I start getting too uncomfortable again.
I don't want to sound negative, but I do believe different things work for different people.
