I could happily be surrounded and play with lots of puppies Tiff, but I thought it a bit dodgy with that little lad being so young and unsteady himself.
Please let me explain how I see it.
Puppies milk baby teeth are exceptionally sharp, and so are their claws.
Of course they would not mean to hurt the boy but they were happy and excited and wanted to play. Now when the boy fell over, his face, nose, ears, eyes etc could easily have got nipped or scratched as puppies love facial contact, but haven't learned to be gentle yet.
This is why their own Mum tells them off when they nip her!
This is all hyperthetical, but if he got hurt, he could so easily have lashed out at the pups because in his mind they had hurt him.
Personally, I would have taught my child to play in a calmer way with puppies for safety all round.
I also would have taught my kid never, ever to run through such young puppies like that, because it is so easy to tread on them and do damage, when they get under our feet.
The other video Judd posted, where the adult was laying down and no threat of him standing on one, to my mind was much more fun as well as much safer.
Sorry to be an old killjoy, but I am super careful with puppies.
