I read and signed this some days ago. The really scary thing is that this is just one publicised case, there are very many such vile acts in muslim countries and communities. I dread to think what will happen if UK actually agrees to Sharia law. I personally believe it already happens under cover and on the quiet, just like the so called honour killings.

They are a hundred years behind here in the UK. Women who got pregnantin the UK a hundred years ago were put in Workhouses or Nun run homes until the child was born. If they didnt get a husband in the meantime, they had hard labour in both these places and had to give up their child because they couldnt afford to keep them. The men were never brought to justice. The same happening here in the Muslem world and slight difference in the punishment. The gist of my story is that Women have always been second class citizens and still are in most places. With religion against you what can you do????????????

All we can do it seems - is support those trying to help..Its true what you say - cant bear the thought of it, I was pleased to see women in Iraq standing up for themselves, this was some time ago - have not seen a follow-up yet...

I don't read their requests anymore, they are just so sad and make me so angry that people can't see that could be what happens in this country before too long, I just sign automatically I've been getting them regularly for about 1 year now, there are other organizations too who request a signature for a petition I sign them all. It's not just a case of standing up for themselves the religion is cruel and unjust, a man can do no wrong and is all powerful, the men who try to help the women also risk being cruelly killed as an example of going against Shariah law. In my opinion it should be banned in this country, but no doubt that will affect their human rights so won't be allowed, funny how the women don't seem to have human rights.This girl isn't a single case there are many..........
