Re: 2012 - End of days ?

The Mayans did mention fire from the skies so maybe Yellowstone was bubbling then too, . . however, that giant wave from the Canaries will put the flames out no doubt, . . all the smoke and steam from this would lead to global cooling, . . so that's a bonus, . . this would leave the green lobby in a quandary as to who to annoy next.

Repent ye therefore, . . for thine hour is at hand, . . on the other hand, it may be just a rouse.

I had a dream last night, . . . I shall not reveal the theme but suffice to say I've ordered 40 tons of timber, . .

I was looking at a program on TV last night about prehistoric mega storms, . . we have had quite a few ELE's in the past, . . scientists are now revising their theories about what killed off the dinosaurs, . . the comet strike they thought was the cause is now debatable.

I think its a load of manure. Just like when everyone was panicking about the calendar changing from 1999 to 2000. Always heard or read about people that were stocking up on food, water, etc. I don't worry about any "doomsday" garbage. I live each day as it comes!

Hey, Nero, it's supposed to be the fire the next time! Ark not needed. I have no credence whatsoever in the Nostradamus or the Mayan calendar prophecies; apocolyptic "end of the world" scenarios have been around for centuries.

I am worried as Hell about the bees colony collapse; that is real, imminent and a potential disaster that very well may occur in our lifetimes.

Like I've said DM, . . the end of days may come in any guise.

That mega-volcano in Yellowstone would have me worried if I lived in America though.

I'm not worried, as there is nothing I can do about that! Carpe diem. If I weren't allergic to bee stings ad the City allowed it, I would have a bee hive, however!

Re: 2012 - End of days ?

Moving away from potential natural disasters we have the book of Revelations.

The ancient town of Megiddo will be the site of the final conflict according to St John.

Know ye the beast, . . the beast shall have a number, . . that number shall be six hundred, three score, and six.

These numbers can be translated using the Hebrew alphabet, there are 22 letters in this alphabet and 666 converts into, . . . . . . . . NERO, . . . is this coincidence ? . . . . I'll leave it to you for your consideration.
