Buster

Scrolling through the channels last night watched this, about Great train robber Ronald 'buster' Edwards.

The film seemed to focus more on what happened after, rather than the robbery. Collins portrayal made him out to be more like Del Trotter.

Prince Charles and Princess Diana cancelled their attendance of the film's premiere on 15 September 1988, on the advice of Phil Collins, after the film was accused of glorifying crime. Collins said he wanted to avoid causing them "embarrassment".

From what has been written about this man he was a greedy violent man. A professional criminal.

Re: Buster

Watched it a few years back.

He wasn't the sharpest knife in the kitchen, that's for sure.

Rubbish and a waste of time.

I'd make lots of cuppas and watch the adverts.

If there hadn't been so many ad breaks could have got to bed a bit earlier.

A lot earlier if the film hadn't interrupted some watchable ads

Saw it was on but gave it a swerve because we saw it at the cinema. Valuable time lost to us.

Exactly. Rather than portraying him as someone who was complicit in seriously injuring a railway guard during a robbery, he is portrayed as a cheeky chappy cockney Robin Hood. I wouldn't watch it on principle.
