Scam calls

Just had two separate calls.
One claiming to be from Amazon Prime, saying a renewal payment of £39.99 had been taken and press 1 to speak to a representative. I do have AP, but I pay £7.99 a month. This one I just hung up.
Second claimed to be from Visa telling me a payment of £500 had been made.
This time I did press 1, before the heavily accented lady got more than two words out, I expressed my opinion of her, the organisation and the attempt to scam me.
Maybe not as polite as that.

Im happy to say that after a period of getting two or three calls a day which I just hung up on.....since Christmas I haven't had a single one. Maybe they gave up on me ..... hope so

I loathe these no-good scammers who make their livings from innocent people like us.

I just had one this Morning for the first time in many months...They wanted to speak to the Householder so I said My Mummy wasn't in...They hung up

I had one the other day with a strong Asian accent...he hung up when I told him I couldn't chat as I was washing the elephant....

I don't get many scam calls. Scam or sales calls don't get five seconds before I recognize them for what they are and hang up.

Got an automated call this morning, saying that £599 was missing from my Visa account. The usual press one etc. I looked the number up online, 01984 524368. Seems it came from the Watchet area in Somerset.There is a good website to report these numbers, seems Watchet has a few scammers on the go.
