Finished house at last

yes at long last everything that needed doing in our new to us house has been complete, and that was more than we anticipated.

List

1 aerials 4 removed from roof and replaced with new lastest type
2 all 8 internal door locks catches fix/repaired done
3 window handle gear boxes repaired total 4
4 window sliders repaired replaced total 6
5 new boiler
6 new radiator
7 replaced 2 radiators with heated towel rails
8 ripped out old main bathroom and new installed, and new wall tiles and flooring
9 replaced window ledge tiles in downstairs cloaks
10 removed hand rail to conservatory outside
11 fixed conservatory inside sliding doors doors
12 eased off wooden conservatory doors to outside
13 had kitchen range and extractor professionally cleaned
14 replaced light fittings throughout
15 new carpets in 4 rooms and hall/stairs/landing
16 new 2 hot water shower pumps
17 replaced another pump that had fins collapsed inside
18 redecorated/repainted all internal walls
19 blocked up 2 vents for tumble dryers not wanted now
20 had all gutters cleaned
21 moved conservatory gutter as fitted wrong
22 replaced garage door lock old one fell apart
23 rewired one lighting circuit in garage (don't ask)
24 replaced skirting board in downstairs cloakroom
25 replaced shaving light/sockets in two bathrooms
26 raised door bottoms for new carpets for clearance
26 no end of trips to dump to get rid of rubbish

Can't think of anything else at the moment

Not bad since we moved in around July time with 2 weeks holiday in Brazil as well. So that is about it except we are having a chimney swept later on.

On top of that new sofas for conservatory new guest beds and bedside tables , new bed for us and new mattress for other double bed with all accessories and new curtains.
New car

So as you can see all our concentration has been on getting the place as we like it.

Next year it is attacking the overgrown garden and getting that sorted but we are getting there. Who said retirement was for rest?

Sue,my wife, has been the driving force to get everything done . Thank you Sue for everything

I can identify with that. We've been here for 8 years and we've just about got the house and garden in shape.
