I think that scene of 'development' fascinated me more than the programme itself.
I'd dearly like to know what that programme was but, unfortunately, no-one else seems to remember it.

We had that book read out to us in installments at junior school by Mrs Cronman (spelling?), one of the nice teachers. I think she was Polish, hence the choice of book. A very good story as I recall about some kids being forced to live in bombed out cellars in Warsaw when their dad was arrested?Will have to look out for it.
Judd, My daughter bought this book last year to read to her pupils in a primary school.
