Oh dear - you will never guess what I just did !

Decided to prepare garlic potatoes for lunch - had no fresh garlic to hand - reached in the store cupboard for a jar of the minced variety and added liberal amounts to the potatoes. Thought it was a strange colour and didn't smell very strongly. That is when I read the label on the jar ... MINCED GINGER ! Eeek! Have you ever tried to wash a whole dish of potatoes??

I use the jars of ginger and garlic too but I keep them in the fridge and the dry varieties in the cupboard

I think ginger potatoes sound rather good! You could still have added garlic as well!

Not the amount of ginger I had spooned over them - it would have blown my head off!

Does flitting about from one unfinished task to another count as an SM? Made a cup of tea, tea jar empty, take out tin of tea bags, leave on worktop, put tea jar back in cupboard, leave c/door open and tin out, go back into hallway and empty out trolley (went to allotment), then notice still have to fill tea jar.
