Dogs going into extinction.

I have heard some breeds of dogs are going extinct, the old English sheepdog being one of them.

The King Charles Spaniel seem to be extinct now, not the Cavaliers, they are very popular, I mean the smaller version.

Re: Dogs going into extinction.

The O.E.S. is a lot of Hard Work....Believe me I know. My Parents used to Breed them and we had a Couple of Litters too. The last one being 11 Years ago next April. The Rescue for these Wonderful Dogs was set up after Dulux took them for their Advertising and they became Thee Must Have Dog and they were bought without People fully understanding the Work that Coat was going to Cause them, and they ended up Dumped and in a Dreadful Mess. I had to have a Grooming Table and a Hell of a Lot of Time for them. I've seen some of the States they can get in but I won't post any Pics of it as it just breaks my heart when I see them like that, all knotted up and unable to walk Properly, some covered in Sores.....All because of Neglect of the Coat.
I love this Breed sooooo much, but after losing my last 2 I didn't want to go through all the Pain of it again.
Here's some Happier Pics of my Beloved Clan.

Fabulous pictures Roxy, but a sad tale. Such dogs do need a hell of a lot of time unfortunately and it is really a labour of love, so it's no surprise really that they are a dying breed...

I've had 2 Corgie's Chandy and Brynny, lovely dogs both of them. Now only have xbreeds, even Bailey is JR x collie with undocked tail, don't buy ped pups just 'rescue' dogs.

Beautiful dogs Rox. It seem incredible that a breed can die out..I hope the people who read this article, think first before starting the cycle all over again. (like the Dulux advert did)

Jan it is thanks to the Dulux advert, that they didn't go into extinction, years ago.
Nice photo's Roxy, and beautiful gorgeous dogs, I had one, Benji, sadly I lost him after at only 4 years old with hip dysplacia, he was so big, he got to the point he couldn't carry his own weight.

Fantastic photos Roxy. I love the one of them all going for a walk in the woods. I would have loved to come across them like that.

Gorgeous dogs Roxy, they look so cuddly too. It must have been really hard work keeping them groomed...
