I have watched debates on this and I felt the same as you at the end of it, people are not going to stop doing business with us, its that simple.

Yes there would still be buying and selling but then there would also be import and export licences and taxes, it wouldn't be free trade any more, prices would rise dramatically and the knock on effects could be quite horrendous.

So we would be on a level pegging with everyone. I can't see a down side TBH and we did fine before we joined too.

Emigrate means to leave one's country to live in another.
Immigrate is to come into another country to live permanently.
Migrate is to move, like bird in the winter.

So I suppose by "uncontrolled migration" he means uncontrolled movement, both into and out of the UK

Anyone's entitled to use the expression "dregs of the world"

It's the way people behave that makes them "dregs" not their nationality.
Markey's Russian Mafia and his henchmen are "dregs" to my mind.
