It was dark and foggy as she walked through the woods this Christmas eve.
Somewhere in the distance, an owl uttered its plaintive cry as she hurried on, her breath making small clouds as it hit the cold air.
She couldn't make out if the shape was of human form or that of an animal. She knew one thing though, the shape had bright yellow eyes and they were watching her intently.
