Getting into things

I have just an an unsuccessful tussle trying to get into a bucket of fat balls.
I pulled the little tab off the lid as usually but it wouldnt open
I then tried to lever it off with the garden shears no luck.
Have retired to kitche to think of new strategy.

I had the same trouble last week with a plastic washing sachet
Box .

Hi

It is annoying isn't it Muddy.

I never used to have a problem getting into things, but as I am now older, I do.

Particularly with ladies underwear.

Muddy I have just had the same problem getting into the packaging on a new toothbrush

I don't have any scissors in the bathroom and gave up in the end until I could take the thing downstairs to cut open.

I would love to see you getting into a pair of tights Swimmy do you use the 'laying on your back on the bed with you legs in the air' method

Re: Getting into things

My utter nightmare are my medication bottles. I have this problem every week, two large bottles of liquid meds which need the top to be pushed down and twisted at the same time. I now resort to a bradawl and hammer and bash a hole in the top. Once I have managed to get the tops off I then use the bradawl to prise the inner liner from inside the top. My chemist says that he cant decant the meds into an openable bottle. Nescafe jars are treated in the same manner - bash a hole in the top.

Corn Beef tins and tins of sardines, the pull thing always comes off and you then spend 20 minutes with a tin opener and various knives trying to get the thing open

Meg, what are you trying to do to us blokes? Laying on the bed with your legs up in the air, then there was the whole floury spanking incident......

Plastic Milk bottles!

You unscrew the lid and there's no tab on the foil top.
