Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Delivery from Asda today - also from our local butcher. Freezer and pantry now stuffed. Asda delivery man told me they would be opening up more slots at 12 noon today and I tried for another delivery in a fortnight, but I think there is something wrong with the way my computer is behaving. It was only offering me C & C (from Merthyr?) and that only until 10th April.I have tried in vain to contact them, they just say that due to heavy demand they haven't got time to answer! Ah well, give that up I think, onwards and upwards. Hope you are all well.

Hello from an overcast and chilly Caswell. No sign of promised sunshine .
I've got another two slots from Tesco but cant go any further.
Karen and Joe called yesterday to take my rubbish down and to give my my Mothers day Whisky !! They kept away from me and wouldn't have a cuppa and only stayed 10 mins ,strange times

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Feeling cross and sad tonight. Sad to hear of the death (heart attack) of a popular local vicar, a real larger than life character. Only glad it was a heart attack and not the virus. Cross when I see pics of Londoners NOT staying home.

DIL and youngest grandson called to see if I was OK and to tell me that they are getting a new Huntaway puppy - in 2 weeks time, he's too little to leave his Mum atm.

Up at daft o'clock.Took pup for an early walk.Quite windy out.Boiled a ham joint, will have some for lunch.Made some cawl with the stock-enough for next two days.
Comes to something when your son sends you a pic of the french toast he made for breakfast yesterday!
Sad news about your vicar-Sue
Sad news too about the 5year old who has died from the virus.
Stay safe.

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Sunny and very windy here atm (and it's an east wind so not very warm). I guess I will have to depend on my DIL putting extra on her Asda order from now on, unless I change the browser on my computer and have another go at Asda. I have heard that it is possible to register with Sainsburys as vulnerable and get priority slots, may try that.

Rained quite a bit last night-was awake a lot so could hear it against the windows.
Early morning walk done, might sneak out again later-don't think I'll be reported being out twice seeing that we're out in the sticks!
Stay safe.

Good luck Jac - can't she say she's delivering groceries to you.? Just having my coffee and then I'm going back to my jigsaw. Don't know how long this lockdown is likely to be but I'm thinking of making a book over which will be finished first, the lockdown or the jigsaw.......
