There was a misconduct hearing this week and the Sergeant’s punishment for misconduct was a final written warning.
He has not been sacked.

I have just read that...the officer involved was found guilty of gross misconduct ...as you type...he gets a final written warning.

What a pathetic country this is becoming.

The logical eventual outcome would be a situation where the only remaining policepersons we still have are easily-offended snowflakes who get upset if a criminal even looks at them.

They already seem to take more interest in such things as name-calling on Twitter rather than burglary and other real crimes.

Crime pays in broken Britain.

Re: Policeman may lose his job

He should have been summarily dismissed AND at least faced prosecution.

Really.

If it had been an anchovy and the victim hated anchovies then it would have been a form of horseplay but it was not.

It was based on the woman's religion and so a hate crime.

If it had been a slice of bacon onto a Muslims food then all hell would have broken out so what's good for the goose and all that.

A disciplinary panel will now rule if the Sergeant's conduct amounted to a breach of standards and professional behaviour, and if so, he could be sacked.

With such serious things to deal with as a slice of pepperoni, no wonder they haven't got time to deal with the public when they are called!
I agree.

We had an effing eu referendum over false reports of a bent cucumber.
