it the post above this one I was explaining to Muddy how to transfer a photograph from her Album into a post. You don't appear to have an album so I would start there
I don't have an I pad so am not sure how it differs to a laptop.
To start an album ..
First go to your Control Panel ,
Scroll down to 'Pictures and Albums',
Click on Add Album,
you should see this box..

now you must add a name in the 'Title' box before you can proceed,
...put the name in the box at the top
...click on 'Submit.
...now a box will open allowing you to 'Click here to upload pictures'
..click on 'Choose File' to take you to your PC,
Select your picture,
Click on Upload Picture,
Save changes.
Once you have done this we can progress to adding a picture from album to post.
You can also use a 'host' site like Photobucket to store your pictures and copy the link onto posts here..

Art doesn't have an album, you don't need to use the black and yellow box to start an album .

you appear to have have four Albums.
each contains one photograph. If you are not using a host site like Photobucket, starting an album is a first step to putting a photograph in a post.
You can copy the photograph from album to post .

Never had probs bunging pics in posts but getting stuff on my profile page was 'something else'

Artangel, Meg's right, you don't need Photobucket if you start your own album on this site. It's how I have always done it.....good Luck.
