I am not better yet, but I am feeling better than I did... so thanks everybody!
Good girl, Twink. Very true.
I'm sorry but I didn't know of your illness, not being a regular on here as much as I should be.
Hope you're getting there with your recovery

Re: Are you able to talk?

I tend to talk to myself , I'm a good listener for others , but find I'm best sorting things through in my head then when I feel better I'll share how I've felt .

I remember going round to a friends feeling desperate to chat about an issue going on in my life , I rang and asked if I could come round as needed to talk , I started to tell her what had happened and I'd said no more than 10 words and she said " well it's like me when I ..........."

I ended up listening to her for half an hour and never mentioned my issue again , I've never gone to her again .

I talk to myself. I also tell myself exactly what I think of me; often it isn't very flattering!

Re: Are you able to talk?

I have turned to those who job it is to advise, mostly with little success and generally public sector based. Otherwise things just get worked through in time.

This site is good for general questions, mainly because of members experience.

Re: Are you able to talk?

If I have a real problem I tend to try and sort it out myself but everyday little niggles I can share with others, family usually.

Re: Are you able to talk?

Yes, I think most women do at times, but isn't that as bad as the men who keep it all in?

Talking to ourselves and/or pets doesn't really give you another slant on anything or another opinion does it.
