He has far too much power. His job is as a moderator, not a dictator.

Re: And now Bercow Refuses to go.

Bercow, being the bully he is, knows he is onto a good thing so why would he ever want to leave his cushy, power job, Without it he would have to revert to being a short, nondescript, insignificant nobody, belonging to a party that he detests, and which detest him. He knows his position as spokesman for the anti-government, anti-Brexit majority will ensure he remains seated on the throne for as long as he and they want.

Parliament is a joke. I personally don't believe Raab would ever implement Prorogue of Parliament. Remember, he is vying for the Prime Minister's position, a case of "Trust me, I am for the people" Just as all MPs promise in their fantasy Manifestos, it's all pie in the sky once elected.

I don't trust a single one of them anymore.

We should elect him as leader of the Conservatives then get rid of him in a vote of no confidence, that would lead the way to getting a new speaker.

Leadsom would be my choice.

Hi

I disagree, I want all the existing ones booted out and a complete new start.

She is as much a part of the Political Elite as the rest of them.

She too took legal advice on prorogation and subsequently decided not to. She's no better than raap.
You will be stuck with the present lot:
Labour has narrowly seen off a Brexit Party challenge to hold on to its Peterborough seat in a by-election.

I understand Deputy Speaker Sir Lindsay Harvey Hoyle is tipped to step into Bercow's shoes as speaker .

Like him or not, he is doing his job.

Next time round we could well get Corbyn.
With Bercow's help!

He may be a Conservative, nominally, but he is certainly supporting the Loony Party.

Yes, she was a speaker who knew her job. She showed no favours to either side.

Me neither...

except for Farage, of course.
