EU Fluff and Bluster

As the desperation increases in the EU camp as the realisation that the UK WILL leave on 31st Oct the arrogant old fools are now effectively shaking their fists at the UK and making silly threats.

Reported in Sky News Brussels has said in regards to No Deal:

"This will obviously cause significant disruption both for citizens and for businesses and this will have a serious negative economic impact," Ms Bertaud said, referring to a no-deal Brexit.

"That would be proportionally much greater in the United Kingdom than it would be in the EU 27 states."

https://news.sky.com/story/eu-britai...rexit-11789121

It reads as a most childish outburst, akin to "go on then, leave, I dare you, it'll hurt you more than us!!!!"

This is the kind of arrogant stupidity we get from the EU morons. A global collective that seeks to create and run a "United States of Europe".

What makes the entire thing so laughable is the CBI's statements today about where the EU really are in all this:

The Confederation of British Industry (CBI) director general, Carolyn Fairbairn said according to the article below:

"the UK is now more prepared than the EU to leave without a deal on 31 October."

"Fairbairn was asked if the EU was conducting their own “Operation Yellowhammer,” she said, “The work that the CBI did a few months ago and published last month shows that if anything the EU is less prepared than the UK."

No Deal all the way, get it done

It reads like : they need us more than we need them. What a nugget of wisdom that has turned out to be.

Quite possible, the EU have only been preparing since 2016 whereas the UK already started last month.

The EU has prepared nothing... look at the mess in spain, italy germany and france.

.the only member state that's done any preparations is Portugal who have given UK fast track lanes at its airports

Take a look for yourself if you dare. https://ec.europa.eu/info/brexit/brexit-preparedness_en

The UK evaluated the EU preparedness, compared to the UK. Don't look, you may not survive the shock. https://researchbriefings.parliament...mmary/CBP-8547

Look who is rattled. All these anti-EU posts already on this thread. Chaps, I’m so sorry to break the news to you (that is, blindingly obvious and right in your face news) but the EU is bothered by a hard no deal exit but less bothered than damaging the EU. A very senior European banker candidly told me months ago that European countries and companies expect pain but equally were well prepared. And you know, the numbers and the facts support the truth / fact / not made up wishful pish that the EU can ride the issues.
But you know what else? They will enable trade so that the UK does not collapse. It’s pragmatic logic. You Brexit chaps should try to understand the benefits of pragmatism. Not idiot ideology. (Oops, did I call your ideology idiotic? Yes.)

Re: EU Fluff and Bluster

Hi

Time will soon tell who is most prepared and who will lose most.

The situation is changing daily.

It is best not to take things too seriously.

Priti Patel has stated to day that freemovement from the EU will end on the day of Brexit and that we will have have much tougher checks on Criminal records.

I wish her the best of luck with that one.

May closed down the entire preparations for the new computer system some time ago and replaced it with a Consultation which has not yet finished and in the event of a No Deal we lose access to EU Databases.

At least under Boris things are starting to move, but I simply cannot see how he can get things into place by the end of October.

Some things yes, but everything, no.

Brexit isn't ideology it is pragmatism.

EU Federalism is ideology akin to Soviet Socialism with a protectionist marketplace, centralised power base and an unelected , well renumerated elite and should be resisted.

Way To Go Boris!

A no deal Brexit would be catastrophic to the EU

You can quote the bullshit from people like Barnier all day long it changes the EU situation not one bit. Your "treasure island" is walking away free to trade on it's own terms, not theirs and this simply means less trade from the EU. What do you think will happen to EU revenues if this happens ?

Are you honestly saying that the EU has a magic money tree but didn't tell anyone about ? We are its 2nd biggest nett contributor... it plans to increase its 2020 budget and make up the shortfall from Denmark France and Germany. The latter of which is going (or already in) recession.

Yeah ... your well prepared for this one... not
