Re: Little Things sent to try us.

I agree with the others to check the house insurance first.

A secondary thought would be to try your local Freecycle where people give perfectly good working items for people who can't afford them, and I'm not saying you can't afford it, but you've not had your current telly for very long as it is.

I'm not certain, but I think you're supposed to collect which, in your case, is out of the question but, if it's fairly local, you could perhaps hire a man with a van to collect and deliver it for you. That wouldn't cost you over £200.

Perhaps this might help:

Just a thought before you go spending.

Re: Little Things sent to try us.

Update: Telly was supposed to be delivered on Friday, (acording to the computerised tracking). Because Gas Board were working outside it meant delivery man had a few yards to walk because he couldn't park immediately outside. Apparently he didn't bother but returned my telly to the depot at 15.31!!!! When I complained (as I am wont to do), was told delivery company don't work weekends and therefore telly wouldn't be delivered till Monday at the earliest.

At 17.10 yesterday (Saturday) delivery man delivered my new telly unexpectedly. I spent a few minutes setting it up, and then had to move the old one to make room. As I disconnected the old telly from the power, aerial and scart leads, lifted it up and placed it on my bed (temporarily) there was 'click'. I returned and set up 'new' telly and had it working fine, but I was puzzled by this click. Returned to old telly, and plugged it into socket and aerial in bedroom. SODS LAW!!! it worked. Apparently there must have been a loose connection somewhere which clicked back into place when I moved it. So now I have two fairly large (a 32" in the lounge, and a 27" in the bedroom) televisions to entertain me. Didn't I do well????

Re: Little Things sent to try us.

Mary, Roxy darlings, they are flat screen televisions and don't weigh a great deal, I could probably carry them (one at a time of course) in one hand. In fact the television in the bedroom had to be lifted above my head to be placed on the wall bracket shelf where it now resides.
