It's a vicious circle these days. Young people who genuinely want apprenticeships, or other jobs, are stymied because they've no experience; but how are they supposed to get experience unless somebody gives them a go?
On the other hand, somebody out of work with good qualifications are put off because they're
too qualified.
Steve, I've just had a thought. Have you tried your local college to see if there's a vacancy as a lecturer in your field? You might have to take exams to lecture, but perhaps that's another avenue you could try, and you could probably take the exams online.
