No pets

https://www.express.co.uk/showbiz/tv...atest-video-vn

Donnachadh McCarthy told Good Morning Britain's Susanna Reid that it was "shocking" she was not prepared to give up her pets in order to decrease her carbon footprint and provide a better future for her children. The environmental activist also questioned the ITV presenter's understanding of the current global climate crisis.

Honestly believe quite a few pets are more appreciated than people.

Re: No pets

These environmentalists become dafter by the minute - and do their cause no favours at all by coming out with dross like this!

Generally - Pets can be a god send to those who live alone - they contribute much to the health and well being of their owners.

Personally - I cannot imagine ever being without a pet or two.

I agree with all you've said, Tabby.

Most pets do far less damage to the environment than twits like him anyway!
They don't drive to work in a big car every day for a start, nor fly off abroad on a whim either!

Stupid man.

I keep coming back here trying to think of something to say, but I have no words....and everyone has said all I would say anyway. I wouldn't give up Diva Dog for anything. Pets are family

'We have to accept that our selfishness involved in keeping these pets locked up, cooped up, is involved in a massive amount of cruelty,' said Donnachadh.

A fair comment.

Donnachadh went on to argue that unless your pet is essential for your health, you should 'consider not replacing them when they pass away.

'Sometimes they have a very important value in our lives. Do we get rid of guide dogs? Special medical assistance dogs?'

Donnachadh went on to argue that unless your pet is essential for your health, you should 'consider not replacing them when they pass away.'

'What we need to do is think in an emergency. We have to look at essential needs and essential requirements.

When asked whether he'd had a pet of his own, he went on: 'My partner had a pet for three years and I noticed when my partner was out the dog slept all day .

'When we visited his parents in the country he was mad with energy running round the other dogs all day long and what I realised was millions of dogs are cooped up urban homes, living a horrendous life. I would argue that most people do not need pets.'
Quite happy to give up the TV.

Re: No pets

So why didn't HE take the dog out for walks when his partner was out? Just because he doesn't agree with pets, doesn't mean that he can abandon looking after the one he had!

Beware of anyone that children and dogs do not like or trust.
