Now I have an old persons bedside table .

Mine has my mobile phone so I can activate and deactivate our alarm system, a book, my glasses, a glass of water and my hearing aids. My prosthesis sits in my wheelchair next to the bedside table.

Just a radio and clock on my bedside table, I don't like clutter....
If I need anything else I will go and get it.

Re: Old people’s bedside table

I must be very ‘old’ as l’ve had a bedside table since l was a teenager.

I suppose, the contents of the drawers and what’s on the top have changed over the years.

At present, on the top of it is, a lamp, the landline phone, some Mentolatum that l rub a tiny bit on one sole of my feet. It helps me sleep like a log! My reading glasses.

I keep my mobile phone in the drawer as l am concerned that all the ions or whatever they give off will penetrate my brain and make me go looney! Whoops, too late!
The only time my mobile phone is on the top is when l use it as an alarm to wake me up.

In the drawers, l keep crossword books or ones l’ve cut out of the Daily Telegraph.
Old envelopes and pens to jot things down that l need to buy, or need to do.
My Day To Page Diary, l have kept one and written in them religiously since l was about 13.

Word game machines.... l love words and anagrams.

The rest in the other drawers... mainly junk!!
