Interested in egyptology ???

Several months ago I started thread on how the Great Pyramid of Khufu was built. I asked for input from others and I was pleased to find many who are interested.

Since then, I have read and just completed "The Secret of the Great Pyramid, written by world famous Egyptologist Professor Bob Brier. A man who has dedicated his life to the study of Egyptology.

As many know, there are two competing theories on how the Great pyramid was built. 1.) using a very long ramp , and 2.) using an external ramp that winds around, and around the pyramid.

Bob Brier, disagrees. He and Jean-Pierre Houdin have a completely new and novel theory. At first I was skeptical , but after read Bob Briers book, I now believe their theory is quite possible.

Want to know how ? Well, you'll have to read the book.
I highly recommend this book. Extremely well written and actually thrilling.

Sorry Minx, no insult intended, but ancient aliens is not a rational idea. It is just a bunch of hog wash.

PS: slowly regaining my strength.

I think I can guarantee, you'll be fascinated. The book is full of information. Not only about the Great pyramid but also about the history of pyramid building, from the 1st mastabas to the crowning glory of the Great Pyramid.

I am now thinking I may have been too hasty when I said I wasn't interested, bakerman, you are infecting me with your enthusiasm. I may even come to share your passion for ancient Egypt one day, who knows.

Keep up the good work.

Bakerman- it’s a pity you can’t ‘see’ humour in text!
I was pulling your leg

Oh, ok. For an American, British humor often goes right over our heads.
