Kestrel Nest

I found this webcam of baby kestrels in the nest very interesting to watch ..... hope you enjoy it too!

It looks like they have all decided to have 40 winks at the moment!

Re: Kestrel Nest

Eeek, how sweet. Thanks Mags. One's just had a plod about , bent forward and stretched his wings now he's back with the others again. Arne is not far from us, have been there twice. I will put this in my favourties along with Jimmy's Eagles Nest and watch these grow and fledge. Last year I watched the bearcam in Minnesota, wonderful.

Re: Kestrel Nest

Thanks Mags for the link. I'm watching now, the biggest one has been struggling with a big wiggly worm, he can't get it all down and one of the others has tried pulling it too

Poor little chap looks like he has the worm stuck in his throat..... I wish I could reach into the screen and tug it out for him

Re: Kestrel Nest

'Mum' has just been in to feed the babies and I notice the worm that looked stuck in the throat of the little ones has now disappeared ...... maybe the baby managed to swallow it or Mum has come to the rescue

Amazing to think they will grow to become beautiful sleek birds

Did you see that grey small thing she brought in? I noticed her tearing bits off and feeding the little one.....I was worried it wasn't going to get any food!

Re: Kestrel Nest

I think they're feeling the heat, one was panting just now and they have moved forward to get some air.
