Re: Tablet from Aldi

Suggest you read these reviews first!:

TrustedReviews (2 stars out of 5)
http://www.trustedreviews.com/aldi-m...-s10346-review

"However, it provides nowhere near as positive an experience as its supermarket rival’s offering. Performance is sluggish, the camera app is faulty and there are also serious issues with the screen. We recommend forking out a little extra for the same-sized Lenovo Yoga Tablet 10 HD+ or saving a few pennies with Tesco’s 8.3-inch superstar. Dead set on it? Read on to find out why you really shouldn’t buy this tablet."

Alphr.com - 2 stars out of 5
http://www.alphr.com/lifetab-s10346/...-s10346-review

"The Lifetab S10346 could have been a real contender for the best buy of this Christmas, but as the hardware stands, it’s barely usable and should be avoided at all costs. "

"i had a look at this tablet...read some reviews of testers of this did not make very good reading according to scource this tablet was put in the sale...end of product...
once gone...aldi are not restocking"

Yes they all look nice on paper, or from the sellers reviews.
But as it's said. The proof of the pudding is in the eating.

Realist...your reviews are completely out of date, by a year or more.
This is a brand new product ... Nice try though !

Hmmm - I don't think I'd bother standing in a queue to get one of these...

No it's not, which is why you should be extremely wary.

What you are buying there is a Medion Lifetab S10346.

Look at the link YOU provided and click on the hot link where it says "For further information, please click here"

Same model. Same specs. e.g.

Intel® Atom™ processor Z3735F
25.7 cm (10.1") Full HD display (1920 x 1200 pixel
32 GB internal memory/2 GB RAM
5 MP digital camera & 2 MP front camera

As one of the reviews says, this is old stock which Aldi will not be restocking. Given all the stories of people not being able to get refunds but having to send the tablets back to the manufacturer I would be doubly wary because it means there won't be many other models to swap defective ones with.

Finally, even if this were a new model (which it isn't) you'd still be buying from Medion which many of the reviews suggest has zero customer service.

Good luck with your purchase, but do go in informed.
