Re: Brexit Unicorn Found

It would appear from the article that the EU are expecting a no deal Brexit. If there is a no deal brexit, it's down to the EU's intransigence in not getting an acceptable deal.

Exactly

We have offered solutions for Ireland and none of them require a hard border. If we leave with no deal, the border issue is for the EU to sort out.

We control everything going in and everything coming out of the Republic.

Looks like us leavers were right Bread?
We will only be treated properly when we are out of eu!
It is the spineless half of our population that have caused
most of our difficulties, particularly our POSHOC!
We still have some way to go yet from looking at PMs
Questions today!

Best Regards Donkeyman!

...and we should make that clear by doing the job right this time and putting our proposal on the table and letting the EU be the ones to reject it if they can't agree to it so they can be held responsible for our leaving without a deal .
That is how it should have been from the start and would have been if we had a negotiating team who actually put their heart and soul into our leaving.

Press rease by EU, june 12

Brexit Preparedness Communication*

Ahead of the June European Council (Article 50), the European Commission has today taken stock – in its fifth Brexit Preparedness Communication – of the European Union's Brexit preparedness and contingency measures, particularly in light of the decision taken on 11 April by the European Council (Article 50), at the request of and in agreement with the United Kingdom, to extend the Article 50 period to 31 October 2019. In light of the extension of the Article 50 period, the Commission has screened all the measures adopted to ensure that they continue to meet their intended objectives. The Commission has concluded that there is no need to amend any measures on substance and that they remain fit for purpose. The Commission does not plan any new measures ahead of the new withdrawal date.

Talking about cake and eating it! I don't know why the Commission bother fielding a negotiating team. They seem intent on continuing to be the dictatorial tyrants they appear to be.

You may well continue to be proud about the sheer intransigence of the idiots in Brussels, but I can assure you, things are changing very quickly this side of the channel.
If, as is expected, Boris gets in, he knows Nigel is biting at his backside so he will want to be seen as a tough negotiator to have any chance of the Tory Party not being decimated, so hard hats on Brussels elites, the Brits are coming back for our fair share of piece of cake..........
