Re: Fish And Chips.

As you can see, I love tartare sauce.

Only triple fried chips for me..so crunchy on the outside, fluffy in the middle.

Sorry admin., just realised I’ve put this in the wrong section.

I always make my own homemade fish and chips,Bruce.

I bought some beautiful fresh Cod from Tesco’s..then made a beer batter, deep fried....so easy to make...

What is this English obsession with Cod? it is not a particularly nice fish, nothing wrong with it but a bit ordinary compared to Flake, Bream, Flathead or Barramundi. When I lived in England I preferred Plaice over Cod any day

An air fryer doesn't preclude home made the food just doesn't have all that fat or oil

Bad for the cod stocks too.
We like sea bass.
We have fish and chips every Friday but I prefer to just do them at home without batter and the chips in the air fryer .

I haven’t bought cod in months...I don’t deep fry like the fish shop. only covering the fish in batter halfway, with oil.

The air fryer may suit you, I like to cook from fresh...obviously air fryers cook battered fish etc, from a frozen packet...or maybe a breaded fish ....I usually get my fish from a fish monger....I like fresh....you never know how long ago those other types of fish were caught..only a sell by date.

That’s a no no for me.
