Again thanks for your comments, much appreciated.

Ivy the bird is the same species as in no 1. A Little Auk which is a seabird related to Puffins, Guillemots, Razorbills etc, and superficially similar to Penguins.

Thanks, Nom, I have never seen any of these kinds of birds. I am in full hibernation now, myself, too cold to risk leaving the house. Snow on the ground is slippery and falling outside would surely freeze me before help came by.
