The more people who sign the charter the more likely it is that the government will take up the support and care of people with MND. In USA where they haven't got a charter the government have cut back on aids to help people when they lose the ability to speak, or move their hands. They need eye gaze technology which is expensive and they have been cut back. Of course it isn't only people with MND who need these aids, people who lose the capacity to communicate with their carers lose the ability to have control of their environment and this has lead to early death. People have choked because a feeding tube is blocked or something like that, the idea of being locked in without the ability to communicate is a fear that I know Keith has.
So again I thank you Myrtle from the bottom of my heart for caring.

That's a wonderful, heartwarming, and funny video, and Ruud is beautiful!I can't access the link you posted right now, but I will try again (being in a different country a factor?)
But I do hope that through this ice-bucket campaign, and others, enough money will be raised to help, in whatever way.
