I paid !
I paid an amount to a catalogue as I usually do over the phone on the 2nd Feb.Last week an automated call came through from them saying I was late with payment. I ignored it 'cos I'd paid.
Yesterday another auto call, saying I would be fined for late payment. I immediately phoned them and said I paid and when, also that I had checked my bank statement and the money was withdrawn on the 4th, from them.
She said I would have to send proof of the statement. I did a copy halfway down to show their payment and sent this morning.
Do you think that is OK - has anyone else experienced this ...?

No Pat, never had a problem with the catalogue I used to have.I used to pay on-line in the end but I don't use it now.
I know it's a bit worrying, especially with all the fiddles going on but I'm sure it will be ok. And I'd ask for an apology at the least - your custom and their good name is at stake - after all, you could join facebook and moan in public.
So tell them.

Not the best of ways to deal with a valued customer!Make sure you send back any mail, no matter how small.
'return to sender - not wanted'
As you know, there are lots of catalogues, you'll find another to suit quite quickly.
Stick to your guns, unless they make a fabulous offer
