Re: why is it always down to me?? Grrrrr.

It's the same here always the same people who report the problems, I stopped doing it recently when they started putting on the bills who reported what, seemed unfair to me if you actually report the jobs needing doing you then get targeted by everyone else because the bills go up.

What gets me is down at the bowls club. You will find a few stalwarts who get down early, sort out the gear , then the others come down all jolly have a good session and shove off leaving the few to pack all the equipment away for them. Could kick their bowls over the hedge !

What you have to do is be a little devious. Near the end of the session, look at your watch, and remember that you have to be somewhere, for partner, child whatever, apologise for leaving early, smile sweetly, "I am sure you won't mind finishing up this time hey?" So you miss the end of your game, but it will be worth it in the long run surely?

I think that is true of most organisations. People don't mind helping out if they are asked at the time but very few volunteer unasked and most will come and make use of the facilities then go home leaving the minority to setup and put away.

It is always the same faces that volunteer in my Seniors Club and its activities.
