Your 'other' name

There was a silly little feature on the radio this morning but it worked out as good fun.

If you were not a boy/girl, and were instead a girl/boy, what would your name be?

The radio was either allowing people to chose the name their mum had told them would have been theirs, had they arrived as the opposite sex, or to chose their very own 'different' name.

On that basis (in a deep voice) "Hullo, I'm Andrew (mum's choice)/John (mine). Pleased to meet you. And you are .......?"

Re: Your 'other' name

Mine would not have been significantly different. I am Christine (Chris) and if I had been a boy it would have been Christopher (Chris).

Re: Your 'other' name

I have o idea what I would have bee named as a boy, that never came up in conversation. If I had to pick, would be Michael, just because I like the name.

Re: Your 'other' name

The tale is that my mum wanted a girl to be called Stephanie.

But I came out with this little tinkle-so I`m `old git`

Talk about a boy named Sue--
