My kitchen - full of blue smoke - again! I am the only person I know who can burn toast - in a toaster!!

No, you're not.

I think my toaster is losing its grip on its thermostat thing.

Sometimes, even if the dial is set to a very low setting, it can still burn.

Admittedly, a lot depends on the type of bread used..... the soft, airy types of bread burn very easily, while the wholemeal slices need a lot longer.

However, I feel that my toaster is reaching the end of its useful life., even though it still 'works', iyswim.
