Sadly I learned the hard way you can have the same opinions as someone on line and imagine you will get on well in real life only to find they are very much not how you thought they would be.

Cass, what a terrible thing for them to do, I can't believe they just never got in touch. And you haven't heard from them since? awful.

Mups, I am like you regarding not being able to find you car in a car park. I only have a small car, and if I am shopping you can bet ten to one that two large cars or vans will park either side of me.

I did hear from them Marion. They tried to blame me for everything at which point having deleted them from FB I blocked thier email as well.

I dont want contact with negative people like that.

Im not saying everyone is like that and I did have a lovely Christmas dinner with some people who I read about in a local paper.. They hosted a kind of pot luck dinner and everyone cooked. We met some great new people including Jim and Diane from Canada who my husband thought were brilliant.

Hopefully I will be meeting up with them again in September.

I guess I've been lucky, I have met one or two online friends. One was the friend of a friend from Kenya, he was in Madrid on business and had a week or so over before his flight back to Kenya so we invited him here. He was very nice and we enjoyed the time he spent with us. My Japanese online friend also came and spent 3 weeks with us, she was an absolute joy. I am sure you will get on well with your friend Marian, enjoy your time with her.

I too met a few Friends from another social site many years ago,but really just keep in touch with One by regular phone calls,e mails,and occasionally meeting up when She's up to it,We don't go gallivanting as much as We used to as Her health isn't so good these day,but We still have some laughs :~).
